our hands out and receive what we asked for because we're doing what He said, doing what pleases Him. Again, this is God's command: to believe in His personally named Son, Jesus Christ. He told us to love each other, in line
with the original command. As we keep His commands, we live deeply and surely In Him, and He lives in us.
And this is how we experience His deep and abiding presence in us: by the Spirit He gave us.

George Mueller, a great man of God prayed pleading prayers all of the time. He used argument in prayer piling up reasons why God would and should send help. Pleading your case before God is almost a lost art yet we see many examples in the Bible. In the Old Testament Abraham pleaded his case regarding Sodom. Many times Moses argued his cause with God. Elijah on Carmel is a great example of power in this special kind of pleading. God does not have to be convinced by our arguments. God loves to have us set before Him our plea, arguments piled against arguments. He delights in the well ordered plea. He has given us the right to ask and claim and that He will answer our plea because He cannot deny Himself. When we have the Word to plead, we can claim the fulfillment of His promise. As George Mueller would pray for the children in orphanages he saw in the Word that God was the Father of the fatherless. So he relinquished all claim to their welfare and needs to God the Father. And so when he prayed for the orphans he prayed in the revelation of God was the Father of the fatherless. The Holy Spirit is an advocate and a lawyer. We get into that place of pleading our case as a lawyer with the help of the Holy Ghost. In Hebrews 4:16 it says we go to the throne to obtain mercy in time of need. With GOD No Spoken Word is Impossible!
Different types of Prayer
The Bible talks about different types of prayer. Knowing what type of prayer to pray and when to pray it is very important to our prayer life. Regardless of any man's ability, he will fail if his endeavors are not backed by prayer. The major cause of failure in Christian enterprises is an omission of prayer. 1. Prayer of Supplication
{Luke 11:9-13, James 5:17-18, 1 Kings 8:37-40, 54-55}
Supplication means to petition or entreat someone for something. A passionate zeal and hunger fuels the prayer of supplication. Jesus wants us to seek His riches. This is where the prayer of supplication comes in. It is a prayer that all Christians should regularly engage in. Ask God to give you a hunger to seek His face. Notice that in the above three Scriptures people were seeking {or asked to seek} for something specific which meant a lot to them. So you desire to know God's will for your life? The prayer of supplication can sometimes lead us to fasting. Nehemiah 1:1-6The characteristics of supplication (a humble entreaty or request) is fervent, earnest, heartfelt, and continued. To intercede means to plead or mediate on behalf of another person. Jesus is interceding for us {Heb. 7:25} and so is the Holy Spirit praying for us and through us as we pray in the spirit. {Romans 8:26-27}When we take it upon ourselves to pray earnestly for other people, we enter into the realm of intercession. To enter into intercession we must have a heart that really loves the Lord and cares about the things God cares about.3.Prayer of Faith

The prayer of faith is rooted in our confidence of God's Word. The woman with the issue of blood {Matthew 9} knew that touching Jesus would get her healed. Her faith gave her the strength to press through the crowd. When you are sure that what you are praying for is God's Will for you, the prayer of faith can be employed. Unforgiveness {Mark 11:25} and doubt {James 1:5-8} are the two greatest hindrances to the prayer of faith. Where the prayer of supplication is seeking God's Will, the prayer of faith is knowing God's Will, praying it and receiving it from Him. God's Word is His Will.4.Prayer of Agreement

Psalm 133:1-3, Acts 4:23, Heb. 10:24-25}
The prayer of agreement is when two or more people come together and agree with one another and with the Word of God that something specific will be done. People that do not worship God or indeed worship satan, can also stand in agreement and see power released {Genesis 11:1-9}
God has given power and authority to the Church and when we stand together in unity we can see more of God's power released {Matt 28:16-20}. Unity is standing together with one purpose, sharing a joint vision and trusting God's Word to be fulfilled. We need to appreciate the power of unity if we are to see God's power released.Once you've settled the issue through the prayer of agreement, refuse to act like that issue is a problem anymore. Instead, just start praising God. In every way you can, act as though all is well. The prayer of agreement is a prayer that Jesus Himself guaranteed would bring results every time.5.The Prayer of Praise & Thanksgiving
The Prayer of Praise & Thanksgiving{Ps. 100, Acts 16:16-34, Ps. 149:4-9, 1 Thess. 5:15-19}
Praise and worship brings us into the presence of God. When we praise God in the mist of seemingly negative situations we are affirming our faith in Him. This pleases God and helps our faith.Praise and thanksgiving are powerful weapons to the believer. It destroys the hold of satan and unbelief over our life. Praise and thanksgiving in effect disarm the two most deadly weapons to our Christian walk; namely, unbelief and satanic attacks. These two things can manifest in many different ways. No wonder why the Scriptures call praise a two edged sword {Ps. 149:4-9}1 Timothy 2:1-4
I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, Who wants everyone to be
saved and to understand the truth.
In practice we all use different types of prayer during our prayer times. What may start as a prayer of faith can soon develop into supplication. There is no reason why we cannot apply any of the above types of prayers to all the situations that face us.If any of the above types of prayer are not present in your life, then you should seek God's face about it. Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from Me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into His most excellent harmonies.

"Blessed are they that mourn:
for they shall be comforted."

Do you know what Jesus was really talking about when He said those words? He was talking about the mourning of the intercessor. He was teaching about the comfort that comes to the intercessor when he is assured by the Holy Spirit that he has prayed through.
To pray through means "to break through the barriers that have stopped the work of God in the lives of others." It means using your spiritual armor to push back the forces of darkness that surround them.
There's a desperate need for believers who are willing to do that today. There's a need for intercessors who will go before God and reach out for His mercy and compassion for the sinner, for the sick, and for this downcast world. For prayer warriors who will stick with it until they have the assurance inside, in their spirits, that every barrier is broken and every area of bondage has been abolished.
God is looking for intercessors like that--and there are certain things that won't happen on this earth until He finds them. There are blessings and moves of God that won't come until someone gives birth to those things by prayer.
Even the Lord Jesus Himself was ushered into the earth by intercession. Remember Simeon and Anna? They were both intercessors, prayer warriors of God. They'd spent years in spiritual mourning, praying for the Messiah to come. But when they were done, they experienced the comfort of the Holy Spirit. For when they saw Jesus as a tiny baby in the temple, they recognized Him and rejoiced.
If you're wondering if you're one of those who's been called to intercession, then you probably are. God is calling believers everywhere to experience that unique kind of mourning and comfort that only the intercessor knows. He's calling you to lay down your life for others through prayer.
Somewhere in the world, someone needs you to pray them through. Spend some time on your knees today.

The following prophecy was given by Pastor Mac Hammond in 2010:
The Spirit of the Lord just spoke to my heart and said, "You should give more earnest heed to these things, because there are many that will face desperate circumstances in the weeks or months ahead and you must respond with the Spirit of Prayer. You must respond with prayer if you are to overcome. There have been many times in your past when the mercy and grace of God has made up the difference. But in the times that lie ahead, the only source of victory for you as an individual, for your family, for your business, or for your nation will be in prayer."
"Yes, and I've said that it's the prayer founded on the truth of My Word that makes the difference, saith the Lord. But I've also said the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man will avail much. You've been made righteous men and women by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. All you must do now is become fervent and effectual in your prayer life. Prayer must take a higher place of esteem in your heart than normally has been the case."
"Many on a deep level have seen prayer as something that you should do, it's good to do, it's even necessary to do. But really, you have not seen it as the final step in securing your victory. And that must change," saith the Lord. "Because you are the generation that will close out this age and the enemy of your soul, the forces of darkness have turned up the heat as much as they can."

Prayer not just for yourself - yes, prayer for your family, prayer for your business, but also prayer for your friends and for others who are in need, interceding for your nation and for the very value system that you say your embrace and love. It's going to be prayer sometimes with your understanding and prayer sometimes in My Spirit," saith the Lord. "Many times there will be no words at all because it's a heart connection with Me. It is sitting before Me perhaps even quietly but with your heart yearning and crying unto Me for the change that you know is needed. It is a living communion with Me that gives the words which abide in you the power you need to succeed and to overcome."
"Prayer must now have the place of priority that many of you have not given. So hearken to these words. Give more earnest heed to the things you have heard. Because in the days ahead, it is the final step in your victory and in your salvation as a nation. It is the final step in the awakening that it is My heart to bring," saith the Lord.
So, if you are willing and ready to make a commitment, make this confession today: My way is prayer, O Lord it is my highest purpose. I am committed to be a vessel of prayer, a vessel of power. I purpose to yield my time and my life to this commitment. It is a step I willingly take, convinced that Your Word is true, and as a result, Your Glory will come, this nation will be saved, and we will be delivered from the darkness at hand. My reason for being is prayer, a living communion with You. This is my commitment I make in Jesus' name.
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

If we are abiding in Christ (and if we abide in Him, we are living in obedience to His holy will and can approach God in His Name; see John 15:4-11, 16), then there lie open before us the infinite resources of the divine treasure house. The man who truly prays gets from God many things denied to the prayerless man. The aim of all real praying is to get the thing prayed for, as the child's cry for bread was for its end the getting of bread. This view removes prayer clean out of the sphere of religious performances. Prayer is not acting a part or going through religious motions. Prayer is neither official nor formal nor ceremonial, but direct, hearty, intense. Prayer is not a religious work that must be gone through, and that avails because it is well done. Rather, prayer is the helpless and needy child crying to the compassion of the Father's heart and the bounty and power of the Father's hand. The answer is as sure to come as the Father's heart can be touched and the Father's hand to be moved. The purpose of asking is to receive. The aim of seeking is to find. The goal of knocking is to arouse attention and get in. This is Christ's iterated and reiterated affirmation: the prayer will be answered, without a doubt, and its end will undoubtedly be secured, not by some roundabout way, but by getting the very thing asked for. The value of prayer does not lie in the number of prayers or the length of prayers; rather its value is found in the great truth that we are privileged, by our relationship to God, to unburden our desires and to make our requests known to Him (Phil. 4:6), and that He will relieve us by granting our petitions. The child asks because the parent is in the habit of granting the child's requests. Likewise, we, as the children of God, need something, and we need it badly; and so we go to God for it. Neither the Bible not the child of God knows anything of that half-infidel declaration that we are to answer our own prayers. God answers prayer. And the heart of faith knows nothing of that specious skepticism that holds back the steps of prayer and chills its ardor by whispering that prayer does not affect God. D.L. Moody used to tell a story of a little child whose father and mother had died and who was taken into another family. The first night she asked whether she could pray as she used to do. They said, "Oh, yes!" So she knelt down and prayed as her mother had taught her and when that was ended, she added a little prayer of her own: "O God, make these people as kind to me as Father and Mother were." Then she paused and looked up, as if expecting the answer, and then added, "Of course you will." How sweetly simple was that little one's faith! The Book: Discovering the Will of God in Prayer
1. Pray to the Father in the Name of Jesus.
John 16:23, 24 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My name, He will give it you. 24. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in My name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
2. Believe you receive.
Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
3. Forgive when you pray.
Mark 11:25-26 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in Heaven forgive your trespasses.
4. Depend upon the Holy Spirit in your prayer life.
Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groaning's which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the Will of God.
1 Corinthians 14:14-15 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. 15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.5. Pray the prayer of Intercession.
This point ties in closely with #4. Romans 8:26 says, "...the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groaning's which cannot be uttered." The prayer of intercession is not for you. An intercessor is one who takes the place of another. You are interceding for another.
6. Edify yourself by praying in the Holy Spirit.
Jude 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith praying in the Holy Ghost.1 Corinthians 14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifiedth himself...
