FEAR NOT!
But we see JESUS, who was made a little lower than ELOHIM for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that HE by the grace of
GOD should taste death for every man.
Hebrews 2:9
Death. It's not a popular topic--even among believers. In fact, a great many are just plain scared of it. Oh yes, they talk about having eternal life. Yet when the devil tries to threaten their earthly survival with sickness or calamity, they panic.
Why? Because they haven't learned to look at death through GOD'S eyes. Even though their spirit has been made immortal, they haven't renewed their minds to include that truth. If they had, when the devil tried to push their panic button, they'd just laugh and say, "You can't scare me, devil. I've done all the dying I'm ever going to do!"
That's true, you know. The Word of GOD says that you, as a born-again believer, are never going to see death (John 8:51). JESUS has been your substitute. HE suffered death, so you wouldn't have to. And when HE was raised, Hebrews 2:14-15 says, "HE destroyed him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And delivered them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage."
If you've made JESUS the LORD of your life, the only death you'll ever experience is behind you now. It occurred the instant you received CHRIST. At that moment, your old self--the one whose nature was to sin and rebel against GOD--died. Your body didn't die, but your spirit man--the real you-- died to Satan and all of his works. You became "a new creature" (2 Cor. 5:17), immortal and absolutely incapable of death!
When you're finished with your work on the earth, you're not going to die. You'll simply shed your earthly shell and relocate to a far more glorious place.
Go to the Word and get GOD'S perspective on death. Make a study of it. Once the reality of your immortality begins to dawn on you, the devil will never be able to threaten you with it again.

Because GOD'S children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the SON also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could HE die, and only by dying could HE break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. 15 Only in this way could HE set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.
The phrase fear of death is a result of the law of sin and death. The word destroy in the original text means "to paralyze." JESUS came for two reasons:
1. To completely paralyze Satan who had the power of death.
2. To deliver us who through fear of death were held subject to bondage.
We have not been given the spirit of bondage again to fear. Fear produces bondage and torment. JESUS came to break the power of that bondage! How? By stopping the force of fear. Praise GOD!
Romans 8:15 NLT
So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received GOD'S SPIRIT when HE adopted you as HIS own children.
Now we call HIM, “ABBA, FATHER.”
When you were born again, your human spirit was completely recreated. You received all the qualities, all the spiritual forces, all the things of GOD that Adam had in him when GOD created him in the Garden of Eden, plus all the things in JESUS when GOD raised HIM from the dead.Fear is a spiritual force, just as faith is a spiritual force. When you apply faith and walk in it by keeping the Word of GOD in your heart and coming out your mouth it will flow through your body and keep you well and whole. When you act on fear the force of fear will work against you to make you sick. Fear works in the spirit world that same as faith.Satan is so fearful of the Born Again Child of GOD! Because if we are walking, talking, and living The Word of GOD - all he sees is JESUS! Let's look at the example of faith vs. fear. {Matthew 14} The disciples were in a ship, and JESUS came walking toward them on the water.
Peter said, "LORD, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water."JESUS answered, "Come."Peter stepped out of the boat and started walking toward JESUS.
But when he saw the wind blowing and the waves crashing he became afraid then he took his eyes off JESUS, and he began to sink. He cried, LORD, save me {see verse 28-30}By Peter taking his eyes off JESUS, he stopped walking on the water supernaturally. He stopped walking on the Word! The power that was keeping Peter on top of the water was his faith in JESUS' Word, "Come." He allowed fear to come on him. You don't have to let fear into your heart. You don't have to let the devil in. You can miraculously walk on top of your circumstances the way Peter walked on water! By standing on The Word of GOD! Use The Scriptures that attack the fear attacking you!
Faith is developed by meditating on GOD"S Word. Fear is developed by meditating on Satan's lies. Such fearful meditation is called worrying. Don't do it!
The Word of GOD is the sword of the SPIRIT. Use it to fight Satan every time he comes against you. Hold up your shield of faith and quench all of his fiery darts. Speak words of faith and fear will depart. {See Psalm 27 and Eph 6:10-18}In the Bible every time an angel appears to someone, the first thing they say is "FEAR NOT"! Why is that? It's because they cannot accomplish what GOD commissioned them to do in the presence of fear. If you will drive fear from your life with The Word of GOD, you will have defeated the greatest enemy to your faith. And with faith, nothing is impossible for you!"Therefore do not worry and be anxious."
(Matthew 6:31)
God is vehemently against worry. Jesus preached against it. Paul preached against it. The whole Bible preaches against worry because it was designed by Satan to produce stress, strain, and death.
Yet many of us still act as if it's an option, as if we're free to worry if we want to. But we're not! Worrying is a sin. It's one of those things the Word of God directly commands us not to do.
What are you supposed to do then with all the concerns you have about your problems? In 1 Peter 5:7, God says you should "cast them all upon Him." All. Not 75 percent of them. Not all of them but the ones about your kids. All of them!
Your confession every morning should be, "I do not have a care in this world because I've cast every one of them onto my Lord."
Let me illustrate how that works. Let's say you were standing about 20 feet away from me and I tossed my car keys to you. If someone else were to come to me and say, "Brother Copeland, I need the keys to your car. I need to use it." I would say, "I can't help you. I cast my keys over on him. I don't have them anymore."
That's what you need to do with your worries. You need to cast them over on the Lord and not take them back. If Satan brings a worried thought to your mind, saying, "What if this terrible thing happens?" then you can tell him to talk to God about it. It's in His hands, not yours!
Once you do that, changes will start to take place in your life. Problems you've been fretting about for years will start being solved. You'll no longer be tying God's hands with your worrying. His power can begin to operate because you've acted in faith and cast your cares on Him!
Remember, though, God will not take your cares away from you. You have to give them to Him. Then you have to replace those worries with the Word. You are the one who has to keep your thoughts under control. But you can do it. The Greater One dwells within you. He is able to put you over. Commit to it. You'll never have to worry again.

YOU GIVE IT POWER!
The enemy is trying to get seed in you - to get you to expect something bad is going to happen to you. If he can move you to the place where you act on that fear, you have proven you believe it.
Stand On The Word Of GOD! Quote The Word of GOD! Use it as ammunition against the devil. Stop him in his tracks! Memorize the Scriptures on this "Fear Not!" Page, and kick the devil out of your life.
Now remember that if you act on fear it proves you believe it! And when you do this you just gave the devil a right, a spiritual legal right to work in your life!

for you shall not fear, and from terror, for it shall not
come near you. Behold, they may gather together
and stir up strife, but it is not from ME. Whoever stirs
up strife against you shall fall and surrender to you.
GOD isn't the one who sends sickness, tragedy and disaster into your life. It is the thief {Satan} that comes to steal, kill and destroy, JESUS said HE come that we might have abundant life instead!
Faith is a belief just as fear is a belief. Keep your eyes on JESUS. Don't yield to fear. You must declare War on Fear! Fear is putting people in their graves before their time. It's keeping people hooked on drugs. It's keeping people in bondage and torment.
There is good news, you don't have to live that way! Get ready to get the fear OUT! Fear is the mortal enemy of your faith. To defeat your enemy you must learn to recognize him.
Fear, simply defined, is a dread or feeling of anxiety. Anxiety is not the only type of fear believers face. Phobias, irrational fears, and various kinds of terrors also attack many believers. All fears come from the same source. That source is found in: Romans 8:1-2 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in CHRIST JESUS, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the
Spirit of life in CHRIST JESUS hath made me
free from the law of sin and death.
There are two laws at work in the world. First, the law of the Spirit of life in CHRIST JESUS. Secondly, the law of sin and death. These are two spiritual laws that affect almost all activity in the world today. A law is any fixed or established principle. It's something which can be expected to function the same way every time. Example: the law of gravity applies to everyone. If you drop a brick from atop a building you will get the same results every time.
The same thing is true for the two spiritual systems in Romans 8. If you are living under the law of sin and death, there is no avoiding receiving sin and death-oriented results. Just like the falling brick.
These two systems are what is known as reciprocals of each other. In math, 2/3 is the reciprocal of 3/2. Both are fractions, yet one is the upside-down version of the other. South is the reciprocal of North. They are the same, yet opposites.
Likewise, the Law of Sin and Death is the upside-down opposite of the Law of Life in JESUS.
For every spiritual force and substance in the realm of Life, there is a reciprocal force in the realm of Death. In "Life", you'll find the force of hope. In "Death," you'll find its reciprocal-despair. Under the first, you'll find agape love-the kind of love that gives unselfishly. Under the law of death, you'll find agape's reciprocal-total selfishness.
Faith moves mountains, work wonders and conquers every obstacle. JESUS told people who received healing miracles that it was their faith that made them well!
Does faith have a reciprocal under the law of sin and death? Yes, it is called fear. Fear always rushes in to fill the void when faith is not present. In Matthew 8, JESUS, asleep in the boat, as the disciples are weathering a storm.
And HIS disciples came to HIM, and awoke HIM, saying, LORD, save us: we perish. And HE saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then HE arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. {Matt. 8:25-26}
Can you see the connection JESUS makes here? "Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?" He attributed their fearfulness to a lack of faith.
If you have faith, you won't have fear. If you have fear, it is because you don't have faith. JESUS could not have stated it any more plainly. Where faith is, fear isn't.
It allows him to operate freely. There is no way for Satan to operate destructively in your life unless you give place to him. How do you give place to the devil? By giving attention to his words and thereby beginning to operate in fear.
When you get a bad report from the doctor saying you only have three months to live, the enemy is going to be in your face immediately saying, "It's true! It's true! Your going to die! But you know what The Word of GOD says "By HIS stripes you were healed." {1 Peter 2:24} and "With long life will I satisfy him." {Psalm 91:16}
Don't be moved by the things you can see. Be moved by the unseen:
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal {subject to change}; but the things which are not seen are eternal. {2 Corinthians 4:18}
Job reveals to us that, "...the things which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me." {Job 3:25}. People who have an obsessive fear of death are in bondage to Satan and must be freed from his clutches before he accomplishes what he has set out to do in their life. For that reason JESUS came to deliver those, "...who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." {Hebrews 2:15}A farmer was on his way to work in his garden when he heard a squeaking noise. He look over and saw a mouse acting oddly. The little mouse was frozen with fear. Then the farmer saw why the mouse was trembling-a huge snake was slithering toward the mouse. The snake's eyes had locked on to the eyes of the mouse and had hypnotized it with fear.
The kind farmer decided to help the helpless mouse so he put his handkerchief in front of the mouse. Immediately the mouse turned and ran off because the mouse stopped looking at the snake's eyes, the power of fear was broken.When we break our vision away from the fearful things of this earth and place our Trust and Faith in JESUS, the devil's power is broken and we are freed from the paralyzing results of fear! Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.Psalm 34 NLT
I will praise the LORD at all times.
I will constantly speak HIS praises.
I will boast only in The LORD;
let all who are helpless take heart.
Come, let us tell of the LORD'S greatness;
let us exalt HIS name together.
I prayed to The LORD, and HE answered me.
HE freed me from all my fears.
Those who look to HIM for help will be radiant with joy;

Fear The LORD, you HIS godly people,
for those who fear HIM will have all they need.
Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry,
but those who trust in The LORD will lack no good thing. Come, MY children, and listen to ME,
and I will teach you to fear The LORD.
Does anyone want to live a life
that is long and prosperous?
Then keep your tongue from speaking evil
and your lips from telling lies!
Turn away from evil and do good.
Search for peace, and work to maintain it.
The eyes of The LORD watch over those who
do right; HIS ears are open to their cries for help.
But The LORD turns HIS face against those who
do evil; HE will erase their memory from the earth.
The LORD hears HIS people when they call to HIM
for help. HE rescues them from all their troubles.
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted;
HE rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
The righteous person faces many troubles,
but The LORD comes to the rescue each time.
For The LORD protects the bones of the
righteous; not one of them is broken!
Calamity will surely overtake the wicked,
and those who hate the righteous will be punished.
But The LORD will redeem those who serve HIM.
No one who takes refuge In HIM will be condemned.
Some people think a little fear is healthy, but that's a lie! There is no such thing
as healthy fear! Satan's biggest fear is that you DO BELIEVE GOD
will keep HIS WORD!

As you fight the good fight of faith today, remember this: Your mind is where the battle will take place. Whatever you allow to captivate your mind will rule your life. Will it be the Word of God or the lies of Satan?
The decision is yours.
If you want the Word to reign, make up your mind now to resist the devil when he comes to plant doubts within you. Refuse to surrender to the circumstantial pressure he brings your way. Decide at the onset that you will not succumb to this trial. Dig your heels in and stand immovable upon the promises of God.
When thoughts come that are contrary to God's will, cast them down. And above all, don't worry. Worrying is meditating the thoughts of Satan.
When you recognize you are worrying, stop it immediately. Replace worried, fearful, and doubtful thoughts with the Word.
Be assured, Satan will continually try to tell you that your situation is hopeless. He will persistently peddle doubt, defeat, and discouragement. But if you won't allow him to sell you his goods, his commission will be zero. If you don't buy his lies, he can't cause them to come to pass in your life.
God has promised that He will always cause you to triumph in Christ. You are guaranteed victory over any adversity you face today. Make up your mind right now to be a winner and you'll spread the knowledge of victory in Christ everywhere you go.
